i really don't like either of them very much. i thought Baseball would be pixel like; instead of 3D. I was really looking forward to that game. And Pow Pool just gets boring. Overall i'd say Candystand has seen better games then these.
Is anyone else having problems getting this game to load? I get the intro and it ends with a big white circle in the middle.
And Candystand Baseball, is there any way to win that game? seems like the players on your team can't play... and the ball grounds forever, at least until it hits the back wall. How does the base lead and steal work? I couldn't get anything to happen. I also had to figure out how to throw to different bases on my own. better instructions would help game play.
I agree with brad the game is fun but I had to figure everything out on my own! After many tries i got the hang of it and now its fun. The ame does need better instructions. THat will make the game great!
has anyone ever hit a homerun in this game? the hitting is not that good, unless you get a ground ball through the infield. I have never seen so many diving plays in a baseball game in my life.
Candystand Baseball is addicting - once you get the hang of it. It took me a number of tries to master the base running, and to figure out a semi-successful strategy to hitting. I will mention that there appears to be a bug in the program - every so often the ball will roll to the fence and keep going, which freezes the game. I have to restart the game at that point. All in all, good stuff though!
I've played a few time and boy did i found a lot of bugs...
- Sometime the ball will go thru the fence and play will hang; - If the team happen to throw the ball at second base for example and no defensive player is there, the ball will roll in the outfield and the game will hang; - Sometimes, players on third base dissapear; - Sometimes, players out on a close call will be called out but will remain on the base (you will however be credited an out).
1) It's annoying that you're always the AWAY team. And you're forced to play the bottom of the last inning even if the other team is in the lead. What's the point? To just add salt to the wounds?!
2) I wish you had control over your fielders getting to the ball. Infielders especially either don't move or actually run away from ground balls.
3) Can you actually STEAL a base? I've tried this with the "fastest" baserunner a couple of times and they were always out by a mile.
4) Like many others have asked, what exactly is the key to consistant hitting in this game? Only thing I've found even mildly successful is to NEVER swing at the first pitch as it will always result in a ground out to the pitcher.
5) Finally, there are times when it's abundantly clear that the game decides that it's time for it to take the lead and then there's literally NOTHING you can do about it. Evey pitch you throw is either a ball or is hit.
Pow Pool is a fun game, I love it. It's good for a quick 5 min break from w.e else I'm doing on the computer. The only thing that totally puzzles me is, whats the deal with players scoring 25,999 and such? I find this to be next to impossible. I've gotten 13,517 and that's next to impossible for me to duplicate. How does one even come close to 20k?
Does anyone know the deal with players scoring 20+ in Pow Pool? I have a score of 13,517 and it's next to impossible to duplicate. How are players actually scoring 25,999?
To get up to nearly 28000 points you need a near perfect start up to level 10, then just try your best. Two balls potted at once is always a bonus but for me not a strategy I have fully made use of yet.
When I take the first shot of the game I do it before the timer has even gone down to 39 (it still says 40)... I DOUBLE CLICK "play game" which takes the first shot for me, and yes I don't quite get that right every time, maybe 1 in 3. Slight rotation is needed just after the double click.... well, more or less at the same time ;)
You can rotate the table the millisecond after you have potted a ball, you just don't see it rotate for half a second and then magically the next ball is lined up after half a second. Although usually a small adjustment is required in this style of "blind aiming".
I can definitely beat my own record of 27,909 in theory because when I got 27,905 recently there were some basic errors particularly in the last level.

I cannot score a run to save my life. Is there a trick to hitting? I'm not striking out, but I can't get enough hits.
best thing i have found and yes i hit a homer, top closest to base corner, hold the up and in arrows while batting.

Those are a few out of my head.
Great game overall tho.
I have hit a homer a couple times.
But some games you get like a million runs, and others you can't get on base, the players are inconcistent.
Love game, BUT some big "BUTs":

Like I said, Love game.
