We launched Match Point Tennis this morning. It's very similar to the classic Tennis game, but the graphics and physics have been overhauled. Take a look and let me know what you think!
I'm not sure what I think of the new game. I have nothing against change or anything, but the positives of the old game are the negatives now and vice versa.
I liked before I could add pace. With this, I like I can chip and have actual rallies at net. And the controls were easier with the previous game, I don't really know how to win points since we can be not much more than a counterpuncher at the best.
If there can be any mix of the two games, it'd be great.
I totally agree with you Chris. I mean the graphics are MUCH BETTER in this new version of Match Point but... come on you can not create any pace on your shot. I'm glad I won my trophy with the old verison.
ITS FUNNY BECAUSE THE DAY BEFORE THIS NEW VERSION I WON A GOLD TROPHY ON THE OLDER VERSION.. NOW I CANT EVEN MAKE ONE POINT- I WOULD SERVE A TUN OF ACES ON THE OLDER GAME- I GUESS ITS GOING TO HAVE TO TAKE A LITTLE BIT OF TIME TO GET USED TO THIS NEW ONE....
it is really hard to place the ball in the position that you want to, because the place of the ball is determined by the place where you are. That makes it very hard to play a ball down the line. You can't also place your service, and returning the service is a disaster, because you can only return it when you are on the inside of the court. The movements and graphics are better, but still I prefer the previous version.
I agree with Chris. I liked the old tennis game better -- it lasts longer, it is easier to control, it was actually more like real tennis. In the new one, the opponent seems infallible and the only way I have won points is by acing him/her. The opponent seems to be nothing more than a backboard.
If you could offer a mix of the two or just offer the old one in addition to the new one, that would be great.
Good game but like what everyone else said you cant do a lob shot or a speed shot its all automatic. Could you put a video up of how to get a point on the computer? I played for ages, and the computer never missed!
I have to disagree -- this game is an upgrade is definitely better than the previous.
Obviously, the graphics are far superior. Also, however, the game physics are significantly improved. Sure, some of our money shots from the old game are gone but using the click to lob and moving the player (leaving him still to gain player) brings new strategy to the table.
Everyone is sooooooooooooooooooooo wrong ,this game is fun.I'm usually not into playing this kind of game but I actually couldn't stop playing this. I'm going to have to agree with Kelly,
the new is super!!!at first it was so hard and i was hitting out everytime but now, i am really good. i also wona gold trophy with this new version........YAHOO!

Service is ok, the animations are good - 30:15
Automatic return? Thats is too easy - 30:30
The computer player makes no mistakes(I played 10 minutes from the baselines) - 30:40
You cant play fast left or right; even at the net you can only stop the ball - no seve&volleys. No long ball&stop - Game over.

This game is impossible! Its so frustrating. The opponent is indestructable!
